Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor's New Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya-New Bhaupur project is an engineering marvel and a game changer in the logistics sector. It provide seamless connectivity of the major coal belts of Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) of Jharkhand & West Bengal to Power Houses of Northern India.

Create additional capacity of 240 freight trains per day on Eastern DFC. Improve the punctuality of Mail/Express, Passenger Trains and will also allow the introduction of additional coaching ser-vices to meet growing public demand in this section.

Through and continuous run of goods trains at maximum speed of 100 kmph. Average Speed of Goods train in the section will go up to 60-70 kmph, a significant increase from Indian Railways.
